Greenville Swamp Rabbits Sensory Friendly Game on Jan. 25

The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are hosting a Sensory Friendly Game on Sunday, January 25th at 3:05 PM at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, and we’re excited to share this inclusive opportunity with our community! This game is designed to support individuals with sensory sensitivities by creating a more comfortable environment for all fans.

SC Respite Coalition Awareness Day 2026

SOS Care: 2026 Charity Golf Tournament at The Reserve

Their annual golf tournament raises funding for Oak Tree Farm, an affordable housing community for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. $600/foursome includes entry, lunch and beverages, and a Hole Sponsorship! Join us for a great outing: 11 am Registration and 12 noon shotgun start.

South Carolina Advisory Council for Educating Students with Disabilities (ACESD) welcomes public com

The Advisory Council meets regularly to address statewide issues that impact the education of students with disabilities. Meetings are open and accessible to the public, and time is set aside on the agenda for public comment. Follow the link to learn more!

SC State Museum's Accessibility Mornings

Each month the museum hosts a special morning designed for families of children, teenagers, young adults and adults who would benefit from a quieter, sensory-friendly and disability-adapted experience. Guests who are neurodiverse, autistic, or have other disabilities are welcome to participate in the activities such as open explorations of museum galleries, meet and greets, sensory shows, ASL interpreter services, sensory room, and more! Brain Injury Association of SC: Support Groups

BIASC provides training and resources to eleven BI support groups statewide, ensuring essential emotional and peer support to survivors and their families. These groups create opportunities to connect, share experiences, and grow together. Whether in-person or virtual, these groups offer a welcoming space for everyone.

A Special Needs Plan: The Family Advocate

We want to pass along an excellent resource from A Special Needs Plan, INC. called The Family Advocate, a free guidebook that breaks down the essential steps in Special Needs Planning — from wills and guardianship, to Special Needs Trusts, ABLE accounts, and long-term care considerations. This guide offers clear, family-friendly explanations and real-world examples to help ensure a safe, secure future for your loved one.

Red Barrel Food Drive

When you’re grocery shopping, consider picking up a few extra non-perishable items and dropping them off in the red Mission Lexington barrel at The Arc of South Carolina (254 Corley Mill Rd.). Your donations directly support families in need.

Blue Envelope Project in SC

The Blue Envelope Project is a grassroots effort to improve safety and communication between law enforcement and Autistic drivers in South Carolina. It advocates for a statewide program that provides key information in a clearly marked envelope during traffic stops.

The SC Supported Decision Making Project

Educating parents, professionals, and people with disabilities about effective alternatives to guardianship.
