 EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia is hosting a Sensory Night on Friday, June 19 from 5:30–7:30 PM.  The Advisory Council meets regularly to address statewide issues that impact the education of students with disabilities. Meetings are open and accessible to the public, and time is set aside on the agenda for public comment. Follow the link to learn more! |  Each month the museum hosts a special morning designed for families of children, teenagers, young adults and adults who would benefit from a quieter, sensory-friendly and disability-adapted experience. Guests who are neurodiverse, autistic, or have other disabilities are welcome to participate in the activities such as open explorations of museum galleries, meet and greets, sensory shows, ASL interpreter services, sensory room, and more!  BIASC provides training and resources to eleven BI support groups statewide, ensuring essential emotional and peer support to survivors and their families. These groups create opportunities to connect, share experiences, and grow together. This guide offers clear, family-friendly explanations and real-world examples to help ensure a safe, secure future for your loved one. |  The Blue Envelope Project is a grassroots effort to improve safety and communication between law enforcement and Autistic drivers in South Carolina. It advocates for a statewide program that provides key information in a clearly marked envelope during traffic stops. |
