Cane Bay High School is hosting a Special Education & Disability Resource Fair designed to support individuals with disabilities of all ages — children, teens, and adults.	Neuro-Connect Social Gathering is designed specifically for autistic adults (18+). This relaxed, community-based event will take place on May 4th from 6:00–7:30 PM at Boardwalk 1175 Woods Crossing Road Greenville SC 29607. Register at link below.	On May 9, 2026, Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College will face off in a friendly PB&J-making rivalry at HGTC’s Conway Campus… all to serve our community.
Join us for the Civitan Fore I/DD Golf Classic on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Ft. Jackson Golf Club – Wildcat Course in Columbia.	The Advisory Council meets regularly to address statewide issues that impact the education of students with disabilities. Meetings are open and accessible to the public, and time is set aside on the agenda for public comment. Follow the link to learn more!	Each month the museum hosts a special morning designed for families of children, teenagers, young adults and adults who would benefit from a quieter, sensory-friendly and disability-adapted experience. Guests who are neurodiverse, autistic, or have other disabilities are welcome to participate in the activities such as open explorations of museum galleries, meet and greets, sensory shows, ASL interpreter services, sensory room, and more! Share your experience integrating new parenting strategies for your child's emotional regulation in your day-to day.	BIASC provides training and resources to eleven BI support groups statewide, ensuring essential emotional and peer support to survivors and their families. These groups create opportunities to connect, share experiences, and grow together. Whether in-person or virtual, these groups offer a welcoming space for everyone.	We want to pass along an excellent resource from A Special Needs Plan, INC. called The Family Advocate, a free guidebook that breaks down the essential steps in Special Needs Planning — from wills and guardianship, to Special Needs Trusts, ABLE accounts, and long-term care considerations. This guide offers clear, family-friendly explanations and real-world examples to help ensure a safe, secure future for your loved one.
The Blue Envelope Project is a grassroots effort to improve safety and communication between law enforcement and Autistic drivers in South Carolina. It advocates for a statewide program that provides key information in a clearly marked envelope during traffic stops.	Educating parents, professionals, and people with disabilities about effective alternatives to guardianship.	We're buidling something new and we need your help to shape the future.
