The Arc of South Carolina and the Columbia-Richland Fire Rescue co-hosted a FREE Life Safety Expo on Monday, September 11th from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Earlewood Park, located at 1111 Parkside Dr. Columbia, SC 29203.

Ariel Thomas, PFEO, and firefighters from Station 13 put on a wonderful and informative Fire & Life Safety presentation. There was Fire Extinguisher Training, Smoke Alarm Safety Tips, and the opportunity to explore the Fire Truck!

September 11th is Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance.

It has been more than two decades since 9/11. We honor and commemorate the sacrifices made that day by remembering the heroes, armed forces, first responders, and countless others' acts of service to defend our nation's freedom.

Remember the fallen by lifting our communities and honoring those heroes by helping someone in need. Make a difference, unite through service, and show that we remember.
