Want to serve as a Volunteer?
By becoming a Volunteer Companion, you will be providing
opportunities for adults with cognitive, intellectual and
developmental disabilities to experience inclusive recreational and
social activities in the community! Although we can't pay you
for your time, we can provide some funding to defer the costs for
the Volunteer. We also have tickets/passes for various
activities/events in Richland and Lexington Counties.
We will make every effort to match you with a Companion with
interests similar to yours. If you have special skills or
interests such as previous experiences with assisting people with
disabilities, please indicate on your application. Because we
want the Companions and their families to feel comfortable with
their Volunteers, we will require a SLED check on all potential
Volunteers. If you are interested in participating in
