Best Buddies 

The Arc of SC is the Host Site Coordinator for The University of South Carolina's Best Buddies program. Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies has grown from one chapter on one college campus to a vibrant, international organization involving participants annually on more than 750 middle school, high school and college campuses in the United States, Canada, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sweden.

Just Friends 

This program provides opportunities for adults with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience inclusive recreational and social activities in the community by matching them up with Volunteer Companions.
