About Us

At The Arc of South Carolina, we believe in person-centered planning — an approach that empowers people with disabilities to make choices about their lives.

We work with people to identify their own needs and desires, and offer the support they need to determine how those needs are met.

We enrich the lives of those with disabilities by helping to identify their strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.

We connect people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers to available and much-needed services.

We empower people with disabilities and their families to attain a higher quality of life.

Our goal is to support and help all individuals with special needs to achieve recognition and acceptance as valued members of their communities.
